NOTE: The Date, Location, and time for this Secret Capcom Unity event is undisclosed for your protection.

**Not only did CAPCOM throw hoods over our heads, stuff us in VANS and threaten our lives for the sake of world VIDEO GAME SECURITY across the globe, they ALSO FORCED US AGAINST OUR WILL TO HAVE A GOOD TIME~! *SHOCK**AWE*

These were the fantasies that rolled around in my head as we headed out to Capcom’s site for the hosting of an event held for what is in my opinion one of my favorite set of games from the MEGAMAN Franchise. Mega Man Zero Collection, anyone?

Mega Man Zero Collection

If you’re a fan, CAPCOM has quite a treat coming to the DS Platform.., aptly named Mega Man Zero Collection.

So we arrived on site to a virtually unassuming looking set of office buildings with few cars scattered around, and I couldn’t help but look around and say to myself.., is this the right place? We used G.P.S. so we couldn’t have taken a wrong turn somewhere, having arrived to the supplied address. But sure enough, a really nice front security guy who had seen us pull up exuberantly asked, “Are you guys here for the CAPCOM tournament event?” He had mentioned he spotted our cameras and recognized us as press.

Already CAPCOM’s hospitality was shining through and we hadn’t even entered the building. [for those that haven't been to any of CAPCOM's events, these guys that work there are completely about working their butts off for the fans and are really GENUINELY nice, because well, most of them are fans too ;)]

Not only did they strive to make the event totally fun and a success, but you should have seen this room they had set up. They showed us some MEGA MAN anime, suprised us with a gamut of every Mega Man game possible to try out, there were banners everywhere of like every Capcom game franchise possible around the room, a table littered with fan art had DS a plenty with copies of Mega Man ZERO Collection.., they even raffled off some of Seth Killian’s private Coveted Mega Man toys from his personal collection, fed us some great Pizza and drinks and even furnished us with Mega Man E-Tank energy drinks. It was a blast!

First, after being dumbfounded and as slack-jawed as everyone else, I stopped Michael, the winner of the Mega Man 9 Endless Attack tournament.

Michael, who won the Mega Man 9 Endless Attack tournament, traveled a WHOLE 41 screens~! Mad skills~! He could have still kept going but they literally stopped him from continuing due to time constraints.

We also got a chance to talk to the Mega Man 10 Endless Attack tournament winner, as well a Unity member, who soared through all of Mega Man 4 in just under 2 hours while drawing some awesome pictures at the same time. No idea just how he did this but the man definitely has some game and art skills. You should look him up on Capcom Unity under the user name Blind Nova.

After all was said and done, we got to talk to JGONZO, SNOW and MIKEEB from Capcom Unity!~ They stopped and talked for a bit about what goes into setting these events up, shared their love for the Capcom fans, and naturally, what to expect for E3 ;) Check out the video and you’ll get an idea of what a great time it was~! Hope to see you at the next CAPCOM community EVENT~!

REIMAGINED THUNDERCATS HIT CARTOON NETWORK VIA STUDIO4°C IN 2011~!

Thunder, THUNDER, THUNDERCATS… HOOOOOOO~!!!!!!

Lion-O and the warriors from Thundera are back!~ WARNER must asked the Sword of Omens to give them ‘SIGHT BEYOND SIGHT’ because I know millions wont be able to wait for it to hit Cartoon Network in 2011.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the new “Thundercats” series will be the studio’s first project to use anime-style animation, and promises to be a “21st century reimagining” of the classic ’80s cartoon series.

Along with the first promotional image from the series, WBA also sent over a brand new, ridiculously cool poster announcing the series’ 2011 debut.

Here’s the first image from the series:

And here’s the poster:

According to the studio, the new series will appeal to both longtime fans and newcomers to the universe of Lion-O and his Thunderan brethren.

Calling it “a sweeping tale combining swords and science and boasting ferocious battles with the highest of stakes,” the studio offered some hints about what the new “Thundercats” series will involve, including “the grand origin story of Prince Lion-O’s ascension to the throne – and of those who would thwart his destiny at any cost.”

For the project, WARNER will be collaborating with noted Japanese animation Studio4°C (“The Animatrix,” “BATMAN: Gotham Knight”), who is updating/revamping the characters’ look for the series.

“Thundercats” will be executive produced by Sam Register (“Teen Titans,” “Ben 10,” “Batman: The Brave and the Bold”), with Michael Jelenic (“Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” “Wonder Woman”) and Ethan Spaulding (“Avatar: The Last Airbender”) as producers.
